The arrival of spring in Carmel Valley always brings with it a sense of awe, but this year’s display is truly exceptional. The delayed rainy season has replenished our water table, while enriching our rocky terroir with vital nutrients that promise to benefit our grapes immensely. From pruning to the dormant season and now the beautiful bud break, everything points towards a promising grape growing season ahead.

However, it’s essential to remember that farming is unpredictable. Just last week, we experienced a hailstorm that, thankfully, didn’t cause any damage to our vines.
